RESERVATION POLICIES

1. 20% nonrefundable deposit is required before any boat will be reserved for you. This deposit will be credited to the rental fee.
2. Payment in full is required before start of reserved rental period.
3. Rental Fee is due prior to boarding. Visa, MasterCard. Any and all collection fees, except normal processing fees, shall be the responsibility of the renter and will be billed to your credit card.
4. A 6.25% Commonwealth of Massachusetts Use Tax will be collected for each rental.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

1. Cancellations outside of 7 days are eligible for full refund.
2. Cancellations between 2 and 7 days are eligible for 80% refund.
3. Cancellation less than 2 days out receive NO REFUND.
4. Rental/charters may be cancelled due to bad weather (high wind and or rain). Fees will be refunded in full, or rental may be rescheduled if time slots are available.

OPERATING POLICIES

1. Renter must be a responsible adult at least 21 or over with a valid driver's license.
2. The person providing the deposit must be the one to sign the Boat Rental Agreement.
3. Sail Buzzards Bay may terminate, without refund, the rental of the boat, if in its sole judgment, the renter violates any of the terms of the rental agreement or rental policies.
4. The rented boat shall not be used for any unlawful purpose or operated under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Boat occupancy must not exceed boat capacity.
6. All boats are equipped with personal flotation devices as required by the US Coast Guard. All children are required to wear lifejackets at all times on board.
7. No night time sailing - boat must be secured between sunset and sunrise.
8. Rentals rates do not include gasoline, tax or insurance and must be paid by the renter.
9. Rentals rates do not include provisioning. Provisioning may be arranged for an additional fee.
10. Absolutely no pets allowed without permission.

MISCELLANEOUS FEES AND CHARGES

1. If the boat rental period is extended by the renter past the agreed return time, a fee of $100 for each hour will apply.
2. Any towing or rescue caused by the renter's negligence will be performed at $150/hr.
